A type of traffic light installed on some navigation marks to ensure safe navigation at night. It emits the specified light color and flash frequency at night to reach the specified illumination angle and visibility distance.
There are four kinds of beacon lights: fixed beacon, light buoy, light boat and lighthouse. The structure of the fixed beacon and light buoy is relatively simple, and the lamp is tied to the vertical beacon and buoy. Lightboats are beacons for navigation and warning at places where lighthouses cannot be built at sea. Modern lightship is a small steel ship, equipped with fog signal, radio signal station and devices to keep the light beam of navigation light level in bad weather. The purpose of the lighthouse is to send out recognizable signals at sea day and night for the ship to determine the position and provide danger warning to the ship. The beacon signal includes two kinds of fixed signal and flash signal. The fixed signal is to send out directional light with red or green light in a certain range for the ship to identify the direction; the flash signal is used as the identification signal.
The power supply used on the beacon light is mainly battery pack. Solar cells have also been successfully used in many small lighthouses which are inconvenient for traffic, and are equipped with light control switches to control the light on and off according to the sunshine variation. The diesel generator set is used as the main power supply on the large lighthouse.
